Trying
something new can be a stressful experience- but not with the
Breckenridge Ski School. If this is your first time on the
slopes there's no need to worry. The Breckenridge Ski & Ride
School will have you shushing and gliding your way down the
slopes in no time.

1. What
time should I arrive for my lesson?
-
One hour
prior to the scheduled start time for your lesson. Check in
at a base area Ski & Ride location to register and fill out
paper work.

Allow
extra time if you need to get rental equipment that morning.
-
Please
remember to have all rental equipment with you when you
arrive at the lesson meeting spot unless you're taking a LTR
or LTS lesson.
2. When
should I get my rental equipment?
It's best
to get your rental equipment the day prior to your lesson. Most
rental shops will allow you to pick up equipment the afternoon
prior at no extra charge. Call your individual rental shop to
find out their policy.
If you're
worried about getting the proper rental gear, we suggest you
take a LTR (Learn to Ride) or a Breckenridge Learn to Ski
lesson. When you participate in these programs your instructor
takes you to get equipment in the morning and guides you through
the rental process.
3. What
should I wear to my lesson?

Dress in
layers. This will allow you to adjust to changing
temperatures.

Eye
protection, sunglasses or goggles

Gloves
-
Water
proof jackets and pants will keep you more comfortable and
warmer
4. What
should I bring to lessons?

A snack.
Something small that will fit in a pocket to keep energy up.

Water.
It’s important to stay hydrated at altitude.

Credit
card or cash for payment

Sun
block. The suns rays are powerful at this altitude so
remember to protect exposed skin.

Skis or
snowboard, boots, and poles.
5. When do
lessons start and end?
Check
specific class information for start times.
6. Where
do lessons meet?
Use the
Ski & Ride Meeting Map to help find your lesson meeting
place.
There are ski rental shops at the base of
the mountains. Also, some toddler ski lesson packages include
equipment, so check with your ski school prior to renting for
small children.

Breckenridge Ski Resort recommends the use
of helmets for children 12 years and younger while participating
in our children's ski & ride school programs. Rental helmets are
available at our children's ski & ride school locations for your
convenience.

Kinderhut is a licensed day care center that accommodates
children 6 weeks - 6 years old. They provide an infant nursery,
toddler nursery as well indoor/outdoor activities for the bigger
